My gf slammed her rear passenger side wheel into a curb twice today (she seems to do this fairly often), and now there's some creaking and groaning noises while turning. Got under it with a torch (it was pitch black when we got home) and saw nothing serious but I bet something's tweaked. It was hard to tell if handling was affected since the thing handles like an old tug boat already.

Girls are best at spotting little problems. Get her underneath the car with you and I'm sure the problem will come to light.

What kind of car? Depending on how hard/often she could have bent something. Good chance she'll need a new wheel bearing.

Nissan Micra identical to the one pictured (although not crashed into a truck).

haha ok, so FWD, could have jostled the bushings good. Get yourself a lever of some sort, 3 feet long or so, and start applying force to all the connections to see if you hear it or feel anything loose. I know if it was a 90's to mid 2000's VW that big trailing arm bushing would cause this

The reason I suggest wheel bearing is because I got clipped on the drivers rear. After the car made a funny noise. Got it checked out and it turned out to be the wheel bearing. They can handle some lateral load but not a ton.
Could also be some busted bushings. Look normal when at rest but move more than they're supposed to when in motion.

I'll make sure those things get checked out then, her parents pay to have any work done by a mechanic so I'll let the dealer handle it.

I'll suggest those things to her parents, they're taking the car into the dealer soon to have it checked out I think, so they'll just want an idea of what the mechanics should check. Only people I know with a cheap 13 year old car that get everything done at a dealer...

I forget that what some places call a torch is what I'd call a flashlight here in the States. I'm reading it like "geez, she just hit a curb, maybe check some other stuff before taking a torch to it?"

Yeah, that's my thought too. I'd probably just spray it with WD40 and give it some quick hard turns to reseat them first. Sometimes that's all it needs.
